Drinking: Black coffee.
Listening: “Fuck it I love you” by Lana Del Rey.
Reading: Outdoor Voices’ online publication, The Recreationalist. Since starting Cool Girl Run Club I’ve been taking notes on how activewear brands connect art and activity. This interview with Mariel Hemingway really inspired me to start grounding more and to consider even mundane activities like brushing my teeth as opportunities for focused intention.
Feeling: Chill af. For as social and mobile as I am, I can be a huge homebody. These are, indeed, unprecedented times, but not once have I felt anxiety toward the prospect of going stir crazy. I have plenty to do at home (working, reading, writing, practicing Italian, sending letters to loved ones, cooking, having sex, etc.). I can also appreciate the consideration people are taking toward the immunocompromised. The only downside of this for me is that I am hitting pause on my marathon training program. I don’t want to run myself down when immune strength is so critical, and it’s hard to structure long runs right now. I feel confident that picking things back up won’t be a problem.
